Let’s work together
The NAFSB relies on people like you to support its grassroots-led forensic science improvement initiatives. When you become a member, you join as a partner in our collaborative work. Members receive our monthly newsletter and get access to the secure side of our website. We have three membership levels that depend on your affiliation with a forensic science board. A forensic science board includes any board, commission, committee, or body created by legislative, executive or judicial authority order that provides support, regulation, investigation, review or oversight of forensic science services in the state, and is dedicated to supporting, advising and improving state and local forensic science laboratories.
Type 1 members represent a forensic science board to the NAFSB.
Type 2 members serve as staff or members of a forensic science board.
Type 3 members include any member of the public who supports the NAFSB mission. Please note that former membership on or employment for a forensic science board does not qualify you for Type 2 membership.
Student membership includes any student (undergraduate, graduate or medical/law, etc.) that is enrolled full-time or part-time at a university or college. Annual dues for student’s are discounted and are $50.00 per year per person. Click here for a student application.
The roles and responsibilities associated with member levels and the NAFSB Executive Committee are found in our bylaws. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about membership or our bylaws.
Annual dues for membership are $100 for professionals and $50.00 for students. Memberships run from July 1 of the current year to June 30 of the following year. All membership applications are subject to approval by the NAFSB Executive Committee. Payment by credit card or check is available.
